Je suis maintenant sur instagram. Enfin, vont dire certains ! J’ai hésité parce que je pensais « que va faire quelqu’un qui aime les mots sur un truc où il n’est question que d’images ? », et puis j’ai réalisé que le plus important c’était le contact avec les autres. Et aussi, j’ai un million d’images magnifiques que je n’ai pas l’occasion de poster sur ce blog et que je voulais partager avec vous. Alors voilà, c’est fait. Cela me rappelle une petite aventure qui m’est arrivée récemment. Je rentrais de Rio, et dans l’avion, j’ai voulu échanger des coordonnées avec deux personnes. Elles ont noté mon nom etc. à toute vitesse sur leur telephones, et quand elles ont voulu me donner leurs informations, j’ai sorti mon vieux carnet (Smythson, tout de même) et un stylo… Elles m’ont regardées d’un air ahuri et l’une des deux a dit « Oh, tellement old fashioned ». Eh oui, complètement old fashioned, et si vous voulez savoir, j’adore mon carnet. J’y retrouve toujours tout, je peux laisser des notes à qui j’ai envie, quand j’ai envie, je ne mets pas deux secondes pour trouver des choses qui m’intéressent, et je peux y ECRIRE. Tout ça pour vous dire que je suis sur Instagram mais que je reste une old fashioned girl. A très vite !

I am now on Instagram. At last, some might say! But I hesitated because I thought « what would someone who loves words do on something that is all about pictures? ». Then I realized that the most important thing was the contact with others. Added to which, I have a million beautiful pictures that I have not yet had the opportunity of including on this blog but that I wanted to share with you. I have now done just that! This reminds me of something that happened recently. On the return flight from Rio, I wanted to exchange contact details with two women. Both very rapidly put my name etc. into their telephones, but when they wanted to give me their contact details, I took out my good old notebook (albeit a Smythson, not just any old notebook) and a pen. They both looked at me in amazement and one of them said « Oh, how very old-fashioned ». And indeed, I am very old-fashioned and if you really want to know – I love my notebook. I can always find everything in there, I can choose who to send a note to when I want to, it doesn’t take me even two seconds to find things I am interested in and I can WRITE in it. So this is just to let you know that although I am on Instagram, I remain a very old-fashioned girl. More coming soon!
